Preparation is key 🗝️

As I gear up for my week-long bike holiday through the enchanting Veluwe area in the Netherlands, preparation is key to ensuring a smooth and enjoyable adventure. I’ve managed to fill everything into my Ortlieb bags with all the essentials. Ensuring I’m ready for any situation that might arise on the road. Using Komoot, I’ve created detailed routes that will guide me through the lush forests, serene heathlands, and picturesque villages of this stunning region. Each night, I’ve secured a spot at one of the many charming campgrounds in the the Veluwe, promising a restful end to each day’s journey. With everything set, I’m really excited to go on this cycling adventure and immerse myself in the natural beauty and tranquility of the Dutch countryside.

weather forecast

Nothing is as unpredictable as the weather especially in these months. As you can see there definitely will be some rain during this trip. The only thing there is to do is hope for the best prepare for the worst. My bike rack panniers should keep my gear dry and my Aquaquest tarp and MSR Elixer tent should do the same at night.

First and foremost I will be enjoying this trip. I will document it trough photo and video as much as possible and do a write up after my return.
