The Kalmthoutse Heide is a transboundary nature reserve situated on the border between Belgium and the Netherlands. It used to be two parks but they merged into one.
It’s a beautiful area to hike or ride you bicycle and it covers an extensive area of approximately 37.5 square kilometers. It’s landscape is diverse consisting out of forest and sand dunes.
Fort Stabroek
On this route you pass by Fort Stabroek, also known as Fort van Stabroek, is a historical military fortification located in the municipality of Stabroek in the province of Antwerp, Belgium. Constructed between 1902 and 1907, it was part of the Antwerp Fortified Position, a network of forts designed to defend the strategic city of Antwerp.
